04/04/05 Sorry for the lack of updates but here is a quick one, The new Kerfew shop is now open!!!!!!!!!!!!
4/01/05 Happy new year!!!! The recording has come to a stop due to icy
conditions which has made it dangerous to record as it is to dam cold in the
studio, some one didn't put money in the metre! However the band are
optimistic that the new CD will be out before the summer. In other news the band has started putting on shows in a club in West Drayton called "The Blues Bar". The club will be on every other Tuesday depending on how well the turn out is. It is an 18+ bar, but the band has been told they are allowed 16+ to attend but they must have "ID" in order to be served alcohol. Do not fear, if you are under 18 it is ok, our drummer Ashley will be outside pouring shots of lemonade as everybody knows he doesn't drink.
28/9/04 The band has been very busy over the last
month with shows and recording their new CD and this is the reason for the lack
of updates to the site. Kerfew are playing at Wembley Rugby Club this weekend on Friday 1st October and then again on Friday 29th October for a Halloween special with Route 215, My Dad Joe and Twice Over. The band would like to wish a quick return to a close friend Brendan Heanue who has had some health problems this week. We greatly appreciate your support down the years as we wouldn't be here if it weren't for you. Get well soon!!
30/5/04 So much for taking a break!!!!!! The break the band wanted to take has been put off due to more shows popping up. Check out the gig page for the new shows.
22/5/04 Last night saw Kerfew storm the Rugby Club with friends Skirmish and My Dad Joe. Many people would say it was one of the best bills in a long time at the Rugby Club. The only downer to the night was at the end where many fans got robbed by gangs at the bus stop. The band is deeply sorry for what happened and hope there were no serious injuries. The band will now be taking a break from gigging to sort out a new CD which will hopefully feature 13 new songs. The band will be gigging again in September, so keep checking the gig page.
17/5/04 The show last Saturday at The Kings Arms was good night as the band were given free drinks all night from the generous owner, so as you can imagine a lot of drinking was done. Cheers to everyone who made it to the show and thanks to the other bands who played ..
12/5/04 The show last Saturday at The Rifleman was good. Cheers to everyone who turned up and thanks to Dave from Twice Over for putting the whole thing together. The band is playing at The Kings Arms on Saturday 15th of May which should be a great show as The Dead Pets are headlining. Everyone is welcome and advised to come because its always a bit of a laugh down there!! POSTER After Wembley Rugby Club on Friday 21st of May with Skirmish from Watford, the band will be taking a break which will be followed by a barrage of dates. When they are confirmed, they will be up on the gig page. It will also give us a chance to get the website redesigned. Watch this space.
4/5/04 A few updates on the gig front the following dates have been added: Saturday 8th May - The Rifleman, Hounslow with Twice Over Saturday 15th May - The Kings Arms, Acton with The Dead Pets Friday 21st May - Wembley Rugby Club, Harrow Cheers to everyone who keep coming down to the gigs its greatly appreciated by the band and for an easy way to download some tracks from the latest CD "The Queen of (Black) Hearts" go to www.purevolume.com/kerfew
10/03/04 Firstly the band would like to thank everyone who came down to Wembley Rugby Club on Friday 5th March for making it a great night. Secondly the band was sorry to hear of any problems both before and after the gig hope you all got home safely in the end. The problem with people getting in was a problem which affected a lot of people but we would like to stress that this is not the bands fault as we would like as many people that are possible to get in to have a good night, all we can say is maybe get down a bit earlier and things may work a bit smoother next time, thanks to Chasing Daylight and A Touch of Glass also. The next gig the band will be playing is on Friday 19th March at the Fusilier and Firkin in Camden. We would like to have another good night down there and see as many people as possible, the nearest tube is Camden Town on the Northern Line and the Fusilier and Firkin is under the Camden Lock bridge which is a right turn out of the station. Lastly everyone's entitled to their own opinions and that's cool but thanks for the support.
