The band has been quite quiet over the last 2 weeks as two of the band members have been away. The played Punkfest on the 27th of July there first gig with their new drummer Ash. The band thought they played reasonably well and made a good start with the new line up. Tomorrow the band will be playing an out door gig in Oxford with Muff Diver. The new kerfew EP is still in the process of being recorded which is causing the band a few problems as they cant get the sound they want.

12/7/03

Good news for the band as they have been practicing hard for the last few months and are now ready to play live again with new drummer Ash. The first of these shows will be at the infamous Wembley Rugby Club on the 27th July at Punkfest . Punkfest will include a host of local punk bands including Blind To The Fact, Last In Line, Phinius Gage and My Dad Joe.

In other news Kerfew have been recording several new songs for a possible new CD. From This Blank Page is the first of these new songs and you can currently hear it on the music page. Also Kerfew would like to say that the rumours of a record deal being signed is nothing but rumour as this is also the first the band has heard about the situation. If people would like to get in touch with the band they would rather it be through the form of email at kerfew@blueyonder.co.uk . The band would like to wish former member Matt Healy-Smith good luck in his new band Naked Rain may they sometime cross the same paths at some point.

3/5/03

Kerfew said a fond farewell to Matt Healy at his last gig with the band at Ruislip Golf Club. We'll keep in touch with what Matt's up to.

On to the future and the band have announced their new drummer. (big drum roll!!!!) Ashley James. Ash is known on the circuit as the drummer with Scissorhands. He will now be a busy boy playing for both bands. The band will now go into hiding to rehearse and work on a new CD.

22/4/03

Kerfew have announced the departure of their drummer Matt. Matt has decided to concentrate on other projects but will honour his forthcoming commitments with the band. This is a big step for Matt and we wish him well for the future.

Needless to say, Kerfew are now looking for a replacement. There are already a number of possible candidates but if you are interested, email kerfew@blueyonder.co.uk

Bad news on the gig front. The Fountains Mill gig scheduled for Thursday 6th February has been cancelled. The band has not pulled out, but have only been told that the evening is not on. There seems to be an underlying problem with the venue which looks like affecting future gigs. When we know more .........
